This place is superb! And the Monterey Peninsula has been sadly lacking
quality Thai food. Well worth the drive to Marina. I started with the Larb and ordered the chicken, this is the Thai dish that is my standard. The waitress thoughtfully asked if I wanted it spicy and I did. Then ordered a Panang Beef. While my order cooked up, my Thai Iced Tea arrived. The tea was a credit to the restaurant, perfect. Then the dishes were delivered and I was
just ecstatic. The Larb was the perfect balance, with ground crunchy toasted rice, a good amount of red pepper flakes, the chicken was all white meat, then the red onion cut to the right mince and enough lime juice to blend it all together, YUM. The Panang Beef well met my standard. The sauce flavorful and balanced, the vegetables exactly sliced to absorb the sauce and the beef a thin cut to make the most of a lesser quality but flavorful cut of beef. I am headed back today! -

This place looks amazing but that's the only positive thing I can say about this place.
Staff don't listen very well to customers and because of their irrisponsibility my Mother suffered a severe asthma attack.
I came in and wanted duck in curry I decided to dine in and have a Thai ice tea along with my meal. My duck was extremely spicy what's called Thai hot. I also ordered a chicken curry and informed the waiter it needed to be mild and very bland. That dish was intended for my Mother.
Well my Mother attempted to try her dish and she suffered a severe asthma attack. Her dish was beyond spicy or Thai hot. It was extreme Hellish hot. No normal person could have eaten that dish.
Anyways the waiter here is a complete ass and real poor server. Because of his utter stupidity and ignorance he placed an elderly womans health at risk.
Well I would never recommend this place and I will tell everyone I know not to patronize this business
This is a horrible business!!

This is one of my favorite places to go when I visit Monterey ! I honestly can't get enough of this place and the staff are just amazing as well . I am Thai should definitely be on your list of must try places in Marina
SERVICE:
The service here is magnificent, everyone is always so kind and happy to actually be at work . This is one of the main reasons why I give this place 5 stars because a great attitude is everything and it's priceless to say the least .
THE FOOD:
Every time we come here we share our food family style so we can try everything ( or as much as we can).
-RED CURRY:
By far my number one go to here , the curry is packed with flavor and vibrant colors from the carrots to the Thai basil which adds that extra sweet flavor on top of the coconut milk but yet balanced by the heat (spicy chili)
-SPARE RIBS:
This will have to come in as a close second to the curry , the spare ribs are so full of flavor with the perfect about of salt and pepper that compliments the fatty and hearty ribs. This dish is served with veggies and some type of sweet and spicy sauce , which is exceptional.
-CRISPY DUCK:
The crispy duck is good and holds together well, somehow the make it to where the skin is nice and crispy but the meat is so tender and well prepared . This plate also comes with the same sauce as the spare ribs and a sweet and sour side sauce
-GARLIC PORK:
Garlic pork was also great , perfect balance of garlic and spices which compliment each other and collide to make a very delicious dish. The pork is very tender and it is a nice sized portion (family size) for about 9-10 bucks
-TOMYUM SOUP
This was my very very first time trying this soup , at first I didn't really like the broth but after eating the muscles and scallops I gave it another shot and just WOW ! The seafood is cooked to perfection and you can tell that the cooks cook for the love of it and not just to fill an order .
CONCLUSION:
Wonderful place to have a family dinner that has an amazing ambiance and family owned vibe. This local business deserves recognition for their consistency and great customer service. I will continue to come back as long as your doors are open , thank you ! -

After giving I'm Thai a second chance I've decided to update my review. The service was much better this time around! The interior is still really nice and well maintained. My shrimp rolls were fried to perfection and my drunken noodles were tasty and more flavorful. I did have to add lots of chili sauce to achieve the flavor I wanted from the noodles, maybe I'm used to spicer Thai food?

Got to go to I'm Thai twice, not once, during our recent trip to Monterey. Our first meal was lunch, just as we arrived to the peninsula. Had the spicy green beans w/chicken, hubby had the broccoli chicken. One was indeed spicy, made me sweat a bit. Paid a mere $2 extra to have 2 egg rolls. Ample portions, very tasty. On our way out 3 days later, we stopped to have dinner. Switched it up and had Panang Chicken and Ginger fish. Both were delish. Very reasonable priced, I enjoyed my Panang 2 more time at home by adding more chicken and peas.
